Kanabec Broadband Initiative, in conjunction with the Blandin Foundation, Mora Area Chamber of Commerce, Lakes & Pines, and Kanabec Systems, present a free class - Building a Website with WordPress. May 3 & 4, from 9 AM to 3 PM.

WordPress is a totally free and super flexible piece of software that makes it easy to create your very own website or blog. Want to learn how to use it? Then be sure to sign up for this class! Web development expert Ann Treacy will guide you through the process of creating a useful and effective website.

On Saturday, you'll learn the basics of WordPress, and be introduced to techniques for promoting your business with social media.

For Sunday (optional, but encouraged), we'll dig deeper into WordPress, and cover the basics of e-commerce and selling products online.

The classes will take place in the computer lab at Lakes & Pines in Mora; you will not need to bring your own computer. You will, however, need to have basic computer knowledge... and to be prepared for an immersive learning experience!

After the classes are done, we'll be looking for volunteers who can pass these lessons on to others in the future. Sound like something you could do? Then be sure to check the box below.
