Morning Classes: 9:30-11:30AM
Fresh Cheese to Cheddar with Allen Burns. Back by popular demand, Allen will reprise his 2012 Fresh Cheese class in which you learn to make chevre curds and finish the cheese in all sorts of tasty ways. In addition he’ll teach how to make cheddar curds and get them ready to age-if you don’t eat them as curds! Yum. 8 students maximum. $10 supply fee payable to Allen who will send you home with the instructions to make both cheeses, the good cheese cloth, and the cultures necessary to make more cheese at home.
Sugar Orchids with Lauri Rockne and Dee Kotaska. Learn to make colorful, delicate flowers to decorate your special occasion cakes out of sugar! You’ll learn how to use the tools, wire the orchids, decorate them with more sugar, and how put them in your cakes. Recipes for sugar clay and cold porcelain which can be kept indefinitely will be handed out. 10 student maximum.
Afternoon Classes: 12:30-2:30PM
Paper Mache Masks with Paul Morris. Spend a couple of hours in whimsey as you create a mask out of paper mache with a master creative. Wear your mask at the Masquerade Ball on May 1 at the Paradise Theater! 12 student maximum.
Sketchbook with Denise Morris. Practice your drawing with our superb drawing teacher. Denise plans a new idea or approach for us to explore each month. Bring a 2b or softer pencil and your sketchbook to class. All levels welcome.
