View the art created by over 30 area artists at the Vasaloppet Art Show, held in conjunction with the Vasaloppet Ski Race, on February 6, 7, and 8 at St. Mary’s Parish Center in Mora.
On Friday, February 6, the show opens to the public at 2pm. At 6:30 Sheila Smith of Minnesota Citizens for the Arts will talk about arts advocacy and the arts. At 7pm Brandon Kuehn will lead a gallery tour, commenting on the art in the show. Always educational!!!
Saturday, February 7, the show is open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm. At 10 am Joy Paulzine will do free face painting for patrons of all ages. At 11 am Keith Raivo will be carving snow sculptures. At 1pm Dee Kotaska will demonstrate iPhone photography art and apps.
Sunday, February 8, the show is open to the public from 10am to 2pm. An art demo will take place at 12:30 pm.
Besides viewing the art, visitors can bid on art during the silent auction, proceeds from which go into the Kanabec County Art Association education fund.
The art show is free. Refreshments are available.
