January Art Saturday has a great lineup of creative fun classes for anyone who is feeling creative. Saturday, January 17 is the date at the Public Services Building in Mora.
9:30 to 11:30 AM MORNING CLASSES:
DRAWING SHADOWS with Marshall Jensen. Marshall’s architectural and fine arts training combine to teach us to draw shadows accurately and effectively. This class follows on the Line to a Circle to a Box class he taught in November. 12 student maximum. Bring a pencil, eraser, and ruler to class.
FACE PAINTING and Selfies with Joy Paulzine and Dee Kotaska. Learn to paint faces with expert face painter Joy Paulzine and take your own face painting kit home. Dee Kotaska will give you ideas on how to capture your best selfie with your camera phone. 10 student maximum. $10 materials fee payable to Joy.
12:30 to 2:30 PM AFTERNOON CLASSES
CARD KEEPER IN A BOX with Sarah Pace and Lauri Rockne. Learn bookmaking fundamentals when you make an accordion fold book that will keep the cards you have received or are ready to send. The book will fit inside a box with a flip lid that you will build from flat foam core and skin with paper including a paper hinge. Both are great gifts. You’ll go home with instructions to make more at home. A $5 materials fee covers all the pieces, paper and PVA glue to make a book and a box. 10 students maximum.
SKETCHBOOK with Denise Morris. Join this monthly group of sketchers to learn a new tool or idea to improve your drawing. All levels of drawers welcome. Bring a 2B or softer pencil and your sketchbook to class.
REGISTRATION begins at 9AM:
