Art Saturday, a fun filled creative way to experience the arts resumes again this month. Classes are held on Saturday, August 16 at the Public Services Building 905 E. Forest in Mora.
Morning classes (9:30-11:30) are the Acrylic Landscape with Peg Skalicky and Artisan Breadmaking with Shelley Odendahl. Students in Peg’s class will paint a path bordered by trees and spring flowers, get to experience acrylic paints and bring home some brushes. There is a materials fee. Students in Shelley’s class will make loaves of Deli-Style rye bread.
The salon topic discussion from 11:30 to 12:30 will be “How can Art Foster Economic Development in our Area?” Bring your lunch and discuss this timely topic.
Afternoon classes (12:30-2:30) are Drawing with Denise Morris and Intergenerational Movement and Art inspired by sand lead by Alison Holland. Denise continues her drawing series open to sketcher of all levels. Students in Alison’s class get to play in sand and experience moving in sand. Open to all ages. Materials fee.
