May Day Brings Changes

Some of our WONDERFUL members at our 2013 Convention (now more appropriately called Annual Membership Meeting) held in Chisago County.

Here at Seven County Senior Federation (SCSF) we have been having our Annual Convention in April for roughly forty years. But… this year we decided should be a “Year of Change.” With that being said, we have not only moved the date of our convention, but we have also changed its name. We will NOW be having an Annual Membership Meeting and it will be held in May. We are hopeful that these changes will reflect our desire to better serve our members.

Scheduling the meeting in May rather than April allows us all time to recoup from winter (theoretically) and by changing the name we are able to establish that this meeting is, in fact, a business meeting. As a member of SCSF, this is YOUR opportunity to vote on issues that are of importance to YOU, as well as, vote on who will be representing the organization. Some questions we often hear are, “Who are the members of the Delegate Assembly (Board of Directors)? Who are the staff and what are their responsibilities? How can I become more involved?” We will be doing our best to answer these questions and any others that we can at the Annual Membership Meeting.

More AWESOME members from our 2013 Annual Convention (now Annual Membership Meeting).

If you aren’t a current member of SCSF perhaps you’d consider joining? It’s incredibly easy! One form…less than 10 questions…minimal cost of $12/individual or $22/household of two…and YOU decide how involved you’d like to be. We welcome you to join us today! If you have any questions or want more information, please contact us Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. @ 320.679.4700.

And for those of you who are already members… remember that the Annual Membership Meeting is May 1st (May Day) at Fish Lake Resort in Mora starting at 9:30 a.m., but the coffee will be ready by 9:00 a.m. See you then!
