The March Art Saturday experience was filled with fun, laughter, sounds and good smells as area artists shared their expertise and invited participants to create something as well.
Denise Morris demonstrated drawing techniques and encouraged participants to draw a chicken from a model. Allen Burns and Rex Lindberg shared the history of haiku poetry and everyone got to write several haiku poems. Deb Newton’s class made fish whistles and all participants can’t wait to get the fired pieces back. Sid Frantz’ class created foccaccia and gladly shared their results with the rest. The Artist’s Way group continues to discuss creativity and how to be open to creativity in their lives.
Looking forward to next month. Third Saturday of the month April 19 area creatives can choose classes from “Love Letters”, “Watercolor”, “Drawing/Sketchbook”, “Clay Monsters” or the “Artist’s Way”. For information contact Lauri Rockne at 651-224-2319
