The Mora Area Chamber of Commerce has done it again! This year’s murder mystery is “A Party To Die For” – a tale full of twists and turns, set against the backdrop of downtown Mora.
How did the fire start at the old Mora feed mill, 10 years ago – Feb. 22nd, 2004? How did all of the bats living inside survive the blaze? What is the story behind Lester Dine (former City Administrator) who was found after the fire huddling in the basement of the Dandelion Floral and Gift Shop, forever stricken with the mentality of a 4 year old?
What is the truth about all of the “accidents” that happened when the feed mill was up and running? Were the machines, like the grinder – … possessed? How many of our fine community members actually died in the mill?
Maybe you know the answers, maybe you don’t and you are curious to learn about this past icon of our community. We invite you to come to the 10th anniversary of the fire – to memorialize the fine fire fighters who perished in the blaze that night.
In “their” honor, we are holding a Halloween Costume Party on February 22nd at Bowe’s Restaurant and Bar in Mora beginning at 5:00.
This is the Chamber’s 11th annual murder mystery play. As in previous years, attendees should expect an evening filled with laughs and interactive fun.
Tickets are $35.00, and include a Buffet Dinner and Silent Auction. Tickets are available online or by phone at (320) 679-5792; proceeds benefit the Kanabec Area Chamber Foundation.
