Experience the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef – live from Mora!
The public is invited to join us for a free presentation at Eastwood Life Enrichment Center on Tuesday, March 18th.
Thanks to state-of-the-art videoconferencing technology, audience members will be transported on a virtual dive into the Coral Reef and Predator Exhibits of the Reef HQ Aquarium, over 8,000 miles away in Queensland Australia.
This virtual field trip will be fully interactive, allowing the audience to ask questions directly to the presenter and scuba diver, whom you will meet and talk with – live from underwater in the Great Barrier Coral Reef Exhibit.
The diver will introduce you to corals, clams, sharks, rays and more as they dive live, before your eyes. We’ll also learn about the reef ecosystem and human impacts on the marine environment.
Refreshments and socializing will start at 5:30 p.m. and we’ll be “diving” into the presentation at 6:00 p.m. Escape the cold and invite a friend to join you on this free mini virtual vacation!
The Eastwood Center is located at 160 Valhalla Circle in Mora. Interactive video field trips are made possible by the LEC, the Kanabec Broadband Initiative, and ECMECC, through a grant from the Blandin Foundation.
