January Art Fun

On January 18, several creative area residents participated in a couple of artistic activities.  In the morning several people joined Shelley Odendahl in creating an inspirational collage. This collage depicted each person’s dreams for being creative in 2014.  Much laughter and collaboration abounded as ideas, pictures and drawings were shared.

In the afternoon, participants joined Denise Morris and Lauri Rockne in an exploration of the “Artist’s Way”, a spiritual path to creativity.  This is an ongoing group that will explore personal creativity and share in group activities.

Art Saturdays are held on the third Saturday of each month with area artists and creatives facilitating classes on exploring different media.  In February classes will include making leather journals, basket making, making Native American flutes from PVC and intermediate drawing, as well as a continued exploration of the “Artist’s Way”.  If you’d like more information, please contact Lauri Rockne at 651-224-2319.
